I remember those days too.  My mailbox is a lot more like that since I
installed TMDA.

I think the "I will not respond to challenges" crowd is a vocal minority.
My experience is that most people are willing to respond to challenges.  Of
course, people you communicate with may be different from people I
communicate with.  YMMV.
