Hi Sally, I have read mixed reviews on flu and pneumonia shots. As your husband experienced, some on the list got TM after having one of them, so I would never have them unless my health were such that I would be in grave danger without them. On the other hand, many on the list have been advised to have them and have had them with no adverse effects at all. Someone who used to be on the list and got TM after a flu shot said he probably would have gotten it whether it had been the flu shot or the actual flu.So....who knows. Let's just hope your husband has no adverse reactions this time. It's hard not to have those shots when you have medical professionals telling you you need them. I do know this though I will run as far and as fast as I can if something else happens to him coz as far as I'm concerned its self inflicted this time. I would really welcome your thoughts and comments.........................especially if you can shed any light on wot might of motivated him to have this jab, and then to tell me? I have been awake crying since 4am and now I'm at work I keep getting upset again. Sorry to come to the list with all of this but my other friends do not quite understand the implications here!
