Sally,
It wasn't against you at all.  
He is showing a trust for his doctor and the doctor's opinion.  
Sometimes we get so tired of fighting and just want someone else to make a 
decision for us.  He still needs and wants your love and support or he wouldn't 
have shared the fact that he got the shot.  He didn't keep it a secret from 
you.  
Yes, it hurts that he didn't run it by you, because you would have said no way. 
 
I hope your next report is that he survived the shot with flying colors.
