Hi Kevin, Just thought I'd pop in here on a subject I usually don't respond to. But I want to help if I can. My "home" life and my health were both spiraling out of control at the same time. My doctor saw this before I realized what was going on. Have you ever tried Wellbutrin, or the generic Bupropion HCL XL? That's what I was put on, like it or not. It actually has been ok for me - no side effects. My sister has suffered from anxiety for many many years and has tried many meds to no avail. However, she's been taking Lexapro for about a year now and is doing really well - and she is sensitive to ALL meds.
I have become very sensitive to smells also - but I think it is probably due to chemo treatments I have to suppress my immune system. The smell and taste of a lot of foods nauseate me now - and I used to love them. I think TM is very capable of changing a lot of things, and our meds just add to it. I tried Cymbalta about 6 years ago when it was fairly new. Unfortunately it didn't do a thing for me. Have you tried Clonazepam (Klonapin)? Just throwing some things out there for you. What about aqua therapy? Hope you find something that works for you, Kevin. I have tried Cymbalta, could not tolerate the side effects. Also tried Effexor and Lyrica, same problem. I am highly sensitive to many medications, chemicals, smells. Another TM symptom? Appreciate all the responses. Kevin Mindy King wrote: > I'm with those who are encouraging you to try Cymbalta.
