Re: [TMIC] SymposiumDalton, this is such good news that the seizures are now
few and far between. That's wonderful. I'm sorry that when you do have one it
is so bad. When they last a day, it seems only natural that you would be weak
for many days to follow. That's a lot for your body to go through. Hang in
there, Dalton and remember we're all in this together.

take care,
Linda in Eagle, ID

  I will, thanks;

I am happy to report that the seizures have become few and far between, but
when they come they usually last a day and take several days to recover from.
I've gone 17 days without a seizure of any kind, just the usual muscle spasms
that make control difficult sometimes.

I want to thank you all for getting me through some scary times. I'm not
saying they're over-this is out of my control, but you all have really helped
me as nothing else has.

  Dalton

The one thing that Linda & I thought about, was Dalton's seizures and why.
We know there will be more on this subject once the video is downloaded.
That people with ADEM can have a lot of seizures.

Symptoms, which vary among individuals, may include headache, delirium,
lethargy, coma, seizures, stiff neck, fever, ataxia, optic neuritis, transverse
myelitis, vomiting, and weight loss.

    Hi Regina,
The symposium was in Dallas, and about 150 TM'ers and their caregivers
attended, which made it a success. I met Linda from Idaho there, Todd Tarno
and Cora were there. Those were the only people that I recognized from the
tmic list.

It will take a few weeks for the videographers to edit the talks, but Jim
will be posting them online at the TMA website as soon as they are available.
What was special about this one was that about a half dozen kids with TM and
their parents attended, and the kids all made fast friendships, and given lots
to do by our pediatric nurse, Janet Dean, who is from Kennedy Krieger in
Baltimore. It is really hard for young ones to keep still and not get bored
while sitting and listening to the doctors talk about bowel/bladder management,
spasticity issues, optic neuritis, and all the other issues that we face.

Stay posted, I am sure that Jim will notify the list once the videos are
available.
    Take care,
    Debbie

I haven't heard anything about the Austin, TX symposium.
Any comments? Was it productive? Can we access any reporting online like
we did before?
