Hi, I am new to the list. My name is Tima and I was diagnosed with TM in March 2011. I live in Freehold, NJ with my husband and 2 kids, age 8 and 7. I don't trust Facebook, especially sharing something like what I go through with TM. in my case I woke up one day normal, and suddenly I had sharp back pain and within half hour, I was paralyzed waist down. I need to use braces and walker for short distance walks. I finally, got my car converted to hand control and that gave me back some freedom and independence. I visit the Myelitis forum on a regular basis. Prior to my diagnosis, I was a product manager for a telecom company in Northern Jersey. My company got acquired back in July and I was laid off. I look forward to know you and maybe meet some of you in NJ.
