How about meeting some of all of these requirements?? Tennicoit Rings & Skipping Ropes will not cost much. Under Rs.100 each or Rs.150 for the best quality. Many stationery stores carry it too since its in a way connected to academics/education.
We can buy like say 4 tennecoit rings becos it can be played between 2 students or 2 teams. Schools divide games/PT periods between classes and that way this will suffice. We will need to buy atleast 5 skipping ropes. The ones with wooden handles and metal wire with clear rubber cover are the best quality....long lasting...and are injury safe. I got some at big bazar last year to donate to some ZPPS kids. Benches are pretty important given the floor conditions, weather conditions and black board heights in schools. These will come expensive overall - so why dont' we try broadcast this need to all the NGO's we know?? Even if one NGO sponsors one bench, we can give a good count. Worth a try atleast. May be the offer/idea of having the sponsors' details painted on the benches will draw some good donators. On the sides of the bench there is always space to write something (place where we find seat/bench nos in exam halls). Bookshelf can be added to the requirements list that we will broadcast. Prasanthi can select some nice books to donate. Why not each member among us donate one book - within the price limit they wish? We should be able to provide atleast 25 good number that way!!! I have sent 40$ to chandra that I got selling fall flower bulbs, something that I have grown in our garden for raising money towards TMAD. This will be a good use for that money. Prasanthi pls buy some sports material on this money & what is left can be used for buying 1 bench/shelf/books. Pls mail back ur thoughts or comments. -Divya
