*My take on FDP:* I too feel that we shouldn't stop this project. In fact this is the project where we get the support of non-members too.
*Needy people (acceptable to all our members):* We have so many govt. run orphanages and SC/ST schools. In local papers of the leading dailies we can see much stories about them. *Problem:* But we cannot rely on the people who manage those hostels. If they manage well, the food wouldn't be so bad. We should go there every weekend and should observe the cooking and distribution part. *Duration:* If at all our members like and we want to do it, we can do it on every weekend. *How:* A group called Ehsaas in Ryze network are doing this food distribution. They selected Mother Teresa home for this and distirbute food once in a month. They gave order to a hotel and hotel takes care of cooking. These people go and serve and the staff also helps serving. *Ideal way:* If we can identify any poor people who are good at cooking, we can provide earning opportunity to them and also a trustworthy source for us to help in FDP. We finance them to set up a hotel sort of thing (which they should pay us back in monthly installments - that we can use for distribution to old age homes/orphanages). We need to assess the budget. I am in and open for this project.
