I suggested the thnkyou cards and so on basically becos all donot feel the sense of responsibility as many of our group members might feel, especially like U :)
For that matter, if I donated some money somewhere, and they send me back a card saying thnks, it will sure bring a smile on my face. Sweet gesture, thts all. I dont' think I would think why did they waste on postage and card, and not spend this rupee on the cause aswell :P hehe...I might be a bit more selfish than lot of other population :)) Why cant' we just have some thnk you cards printed with our Team name, since we still donot have a real logo? Shud hardly cost more. If more members are interested to think more on this, we can discuss further. When we are having talks of registration, do more to let ourselves known as a group etc, why not spend a small amount on stuff that can carry our group's name and message? Specially where we know it can only make that person not hesitate to donate a rupee back to us, or join hands to our cause in whichever little way possible. About WDP, yes I go understand ur concern on weekends tied up. Hmm...how much are u wanting to pay, depending on that, lets just get some college kids do this for us. Good pocket money for us, and young guys, so they shud be enthu enough. Ofcourse we would need some responsible kids for this. Or, lets ask some senior citizens in the vicinity to help us out with this project?? -Divya On 17 Apr 2007 01:11:06 -0700, Prasanthi Uppalapati < [EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
:) I don't think so Divya. On-field team values the suggestions of our US members. In fact, the idea of banners and logos of sponsors on them are good. Coming to giving a 'Thank You' card or something of that sort, it is good but we should think on the feasibility. (I am thinking of cost here. People who are interested to contribute never think of 'Thank you' cards or gifts, though it feels good to receive. I personally feel why should someone spend money on thanking me instead of spending it on the cause itself). Our members spending weekends, if at all possible we definitely will go. But the project shouldn't rely on our group for volunteers. When we plan our work, most of our weekends are tied up (if at all we meet and plan our work). So we cannot manage to run the show completely on our own. May be that is the reason why our on-field team thought of helping poor people by providing this work. -- Thank you. with regards, PRASANTHI. ---- When you want something, the whole universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.
