The volunteers have to stay at location for almost 8 hrs. I am not sure any one of us have that much time. And investing 2000 to setup to run only on weekends is not a good idea. If MCH can provide people for free, that is great. I do not think college kids would stay there for an entire day for a paltry Rs 50. If you know of anyone that is in need of money, let me know. If we are fortunate enough to find a dedicated person who is in need, I will pay the 1500 to that person for serving a good cause. Just let me know.
At this point, I would go with just our banner/logo to avoid any further delays. If there is enough interest generated and we find a sponsor, that would be just savings for us. Need to save all the bills and get reimbursed by the sponsor. Let us not make this into a commercial stall. I am quite opposed to involving the MNC drink suppliers in this program. This is just my principle more than anything else. Kashyap, Ratan, Ravi, Chaitanya & any others: When can we go meet the commissioners? And some idea on where to get the pots for storing 1000 L at each location? Let us move on this quickly. Close to a major bus stop would be an ideal location. Ameerpet - Kukatpally road would be ideal for us to get started as the traffic in that route is very high. If it is a success, I can raise some funds through my class mates and may be from our own US members to setup more stalls. ratan: let us also plan our visit to niloufer in the next 3 days.
