My opinions on why I might not have replied to mails.
Everytime I too get this question. Why 'only me'? When a discussion comes, why the members in Hyderabad do not respond? or for that matter any chapter? I read mails mostly before sleeping to see if there is anything urgent / one which needs some action for which there might be my need. During this time normally on an average we have about 5 threads with new messages. While reading the mails which require a quick yes and no i reply back immediately and the ones which need a bit of thinking and appropriate replies I keep them aside thinking will reply them after reading the remaining mails and by the end of mail reading I am ready to sleep postponing the reply to next day and it goes on. Another point here is sometimes I really dont know what to reply as I dont know exactly the situation / particulars regarding the topic so leave it for the appropriate person to reply and the appropriate person 99% times is Prasanthi. Why are not any others the appropriate person? Most of the tasks are actively taken up by Prasanthi and most of us here get some info and pass it on to her and leave the matter to be taken care / delegated by her. Not that she is free, but all of us have our own priorities and in that the group might not feature in the top list, for me its some where around priority number 5-10 based on the situations. And right now my top most priorities need considerable amount of time other than office so I have to keep TMAD activities a bit side. But i feel its different in case of Prasanthi, in her priorities list I feel its the top most one, so she is more involved and dedicates more time so most of the things revolve around her. To actually get things more distributed we need to chart out a plan of activities and get ourselves responsible for the progress on each one. This will make other volunteers equally involved and might lead them to reply atleast for that topic. Need to think more in these lines i.e. distributing the responsibilities of the activities. My mind is already sleepy now so cant think anything substantial now, will mail down if i get some nice thought on the same. Cheers Chaitanya
