The doc attached with Ratan mail looks completed one. what else need to be
done for registering the group?
incase if u dont find the doc in ur mail box u can see the same at the
google docs (http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=ddshzzkz_7cmp3fw)
if we register this entity, that gives us more scope for raising funds,
there by we will have more funds in place which will give us strength.
probably we can have online donations too (like other sites r doing). This
is the first benifit that i see.
other benifit that is obvious is we will have a legal name and all the
benifits of it as working as an organization.
This is what i can see regarding members. isnt this ok? btw if some one want
to be relieved from the responsibilities and new person is going to take the
charge what will be the procedure? i think i didnt come across such a clause
in the doc.

Dear All,
I am sending a copy of the DRAFT BYE-LAWs and DOCUMENTATION as required by
the Registrar of Societies, A.P. Please go through them. If you want to
add some rules/regulation or want to alter the AIMS & OBJECTIVES, then do
the change with some BOLD RED font and recirculate or may be we all can
write to the group and by the time we meet up for this purpose, someone
(preferably Prasanthi) will note down all the changes required and prepare a
summary. Then we will conclude that in the meeting day and will finalise the
bye-laws.
Then we have to take the print out on legal paper and have to approach the
Registrar Office. I know someone there in the Societies section and he will
charge around Rs.500 (bribe) extra than the scheduled payment. Of course
the scheduled payment is not more. Its only Rs.200 and one affidavit has
to be prepared by the person who is allowing his residence to be used as
office (Mr. Suresh A. in this case). he has to declare that he will not
charge any money as rent for allowing his house to be used as office. That
will be around Rs.150 (cost of notary, stamp paper and sundry). So grossly
the expenses would be around Rs.850-900 and time required is only a month
at the most.
Now you have to finalise the bye-laws. I have done my part fully. If
needed, I will again help you all.
But opening a bank a/c is not so easy with ICICI Bank. I wrote around 14
mails to them to open an account for my apartment, but no one turned up
because its a society a/c. If it was a personal account, there would have
been 10 representatives for taking that business. Thats a funda quite out of
my understanding. Opening an account with any Nationalised bank is not very
difficult. Let the group be registered first. Then we will see. In the
meantime if anyone knows any one from ICICI Bank personally, please follow
up with them for an account opening. Anyway, from July 1st, the charges are
going to be very high for ICICI Bank customers. They are going to charge
money even for online transfer. Ofcourse I need to understand it more
clearly, still this is what I have understood from their mails/letters.
