Hi Prasanthi,

It is rather sad to see senior members leaving the group. Though you
have been trying to put up a courageous front regarding this, I definitely
feel that the way things get done in the group need a major revamp.

There have been heavy duty exchange of e-mails in the last few months
that too airing differences of opinion ... not a very constructive approach
to doing things. This in my opinion has caused a lot of frustration. It is
one thing to have a constructive discussion and another to have vociferous
exchange of e-mails airing views about others' views. This has to stop!

You have been trying to address each e-mail at a time. Please stop doing
that. No point trying to explain past actions. Look forward to the future.

One of your primary gripes has been that, after the recent decision to
re-org the group into sub-groups has not worked very well. Especially since
the work on medical cases has slowed down dramatically, education group has
not taken off and distribution programs run into a lot of storm. Owing to
all these slowdown and the arguments around them, registration has been
delayed. Now with Ratan's departure, there maybe further delay, i guess ...
right?

Anyways, moving ahead i feel that the way the group is administered and
run needs rethinking. I very much liked Suresh.E's proposal of creating
small teams with specific responsibilities and make them accountable for
faster execution of manageable tasks.

I think the more important thing is the role you play in the group. It
is important that you give a better shape to your commitment behind the
creation of the group. You really need to take on the role of a true leader
of the group and the first responsibility you'd have to do is create more
leaders. Your job should be one of the CEO where you give direction and
motivation. There's no point in you doing everything. The impact too much
work has on you isn't good for the group's health.

Please give this a good amount of thought.

Cheers!
Karthik
