Karthik,

Sorry for the delay in reply.

As I said I read your mail, gone through the excel sheet and also
the URL. Typed my reply in the group page itself and lost the
content due to power cut.

The excel sheet

consists of the organizations who are into Education and few who
offer support in other areas as well. If we classify:

Education to:

• Children of culprits (both parents in jail) ---- English
medium schools

• child labour, bonded labour ------ vocational training

• slum children of Kukatpally ---- ASHA is trying to help set
up/administer a school

SOS Village doesn't need grants at all. It is a well run
organization and our member Sravan Kumar Patnaik told me about this
one.

The URL

Consists of 56 organizations and I think most of them are registered.

What we need to do?

Classify them and see where they zero in on like I did for the
organizations you mentioned in the excel sheet.
Group all the organizations working on one specific area and prepare
a list
Mail to each organization about our objectives of developing a
common platform

Links in our Web site

How we will differentiate than the listing in that URL is that ---
we will group the organizations based on their area of work
I think we will list those organizations who share common interests,
match our criteria.
We have to make a good study

What next?

• Preparing a list of unregistered groups
• Registered groups operating without publicity
• CSR wings of the companies

Actually there are many unregistered groups like us who are doing
the service.

• WWHY is unregistered.

• SHiFT and Trinanda are registered but they are not in the
URL.

• Spandana is one such group, formed by Verizon employees.

• Group of students from Osmania University who are working on
the village Arkapalli and who wants to replicate the model in other
villages around Hyderabad.

• Manam Social Welfare Organization --- Dileep is one of the
members here. He couldn't make it to the meetings but he met us.
Myself, Dr. Sundar, KK garu (Krishna Konakanchi) discussed with him.

• Ehsaas - A group that takes one old age home and serves
food there on the first Sunday of every month.

• Kiran from ADP – working for blind people by providing them
food and other help

This way there are many many groups. Most of them are youth -- below
30 or at the max. below 40.

We need to make a list of all these groups. Everyone of us should
provide you the details of the organizations they know and the
contact details.

If we can get more details on each group and their main area of
interest and the mission, vision etc., that would be fine.

To get information about Yahoogroups, knock Nachaki (Sarvantaryami
of Web).

We will organize a meeting with them and tell them about our idea of
the necessity of the co-ordination and the possible results. With
those who come forward, we will form a board.

CSR wings of the companies

Separate excel sheet for these people.

To forward any cases that would be of interest to them.

People who expressed their interest in the ideology and also ready
to co-operate with us

Bhumika Magazine and CSIM. Both know different organizations who are
genuine and sincere in service.

Immediate Benefits

We can make the Used Dress Distribution regularly
Similarly, we can do FDP, where needed.

Long Run Benefits

To run a newsletter specific for NGO Co-ordination and to publish
the same in Bhumika magazine or to send that to any other media.
People will know various cases at one place and also the efforts by
different groups. They will try to help wherever they can in
whatever way they prefer.

My idea is to support Cheneta workers. If we can convince the CSR
wings in various organizations to have a stall once in a month and
encourage/inspire people to wear Cheneta dresses, that would be of
immense use to the Cheneta Community. They are the skilled workers
and they are dying. If we can form a big platform and if we
continuously bring the news letter, we will gain enough strength and
support to request the govt. to buy and use Cheneta only in all
govt. offices.

We may not go for shopping and we might buy impulsively when we go
out. But when particular variety is being sold in our office, we may
buy. Similarly we can organize stalls wherever possible.

Also we can campaign for Thalassemia, Organ Donation and Eye
Donation. We will have larger reach through this newsletter and the
network

No need for a single organization to bear the entire cost of a
project or raise funds. We know whom to forward a case as we
identify and will have a list of organizations working for specific
causes.

I hope there might be many other benefits too.

Thank you.

with regards,
Prasanthi.
