First of all let me tell you, I didn't question anyone's patriotism here. Everyone are entitled to their own opinion and thoughts. There shouldn't be any comparison for the feelings like every person is unique.
Why I emphasized on the fact that our India is not in dearth of patriots, is as a reply to your question, why should parents send. It is their feeling as we entitled to ours. Who comprises of Nation? Aren't we? If someone is elected and some party or group of parties are ruling the country, who are responsible? Who voted them? Nation is people and it is we who have to take the call. If the situation is that the Nation is not backing the soldiers, aren't we responsible? Don't we have the share in it? Why our collective feelings and respect for our defence personnel do not touch these politicians? Our voice is feeble. We all shout but at different times and in different places. I still remember that one of the reasons mentioned for the failure of Sepoy Mutiny (our first effort for Independence in 1857) is that the revolt is not simultaneous and the British troops have enough time to suppress the agitation at one place and to move on to other place. That is why collectiveness and raising the voice at a time is important, if whole Nation shouts for justice, can't we get it?
