Hi Prasanthi and rest of the group ...

Didn't see much activity on this thread and hence thought of adding my
viewpoints ...

    1. I'd be curious to know how Pavan and group are doing so good in BLR
.... Pavan, please write about what is it that keeps you going, despite your
hectic schedule?

    2. How are other groups that we are working with as part of BOSF
accomplishing this? How are their group members active?

    3. The senior/most-committed members of the group would probably have to
put in the most effort, i feel. This involves
        * Reminding members who have an upcoming date on which they agreed
to volunteer their time and also ensuring they are clear what they are doing
on that day, where they have to go et.al.
        * Following up with members who missed a volunteering time they had
previously scheduled, about
                - why they couldn't make it
                - if they have any concerns about being able to keep their
agreement
                - if they can make up missed agreements on an upcoming date
in the next week or two
         * Setting up structures whereby members who are volunteering
communicate in advance about not being able to make it
         * Checking back on volunteers who just got done with an agreement
on a particular date about how the agreement went ... if they had a good
time, if they want anything different, what is their feedback et.al.

I feel by implementing #3, the group is getting more personalized
for each volunteer and will leave them with the experience of being
appreciated ... which is a very IMPORTANT need of any human being ...

Please give this a thought and implement whatever is the feasible
aspect of this proposal towards making the activity of spending time for the
causes of this group more enjoyable.

Cheers!
Karthik
