No hats were worn in the last two replies :) In order to sustain the
suggestion of Vani, I copy, paste the Characteristics of Hats so that
we do not forget them.

HATS and their characteristics

White hat thinking focuses on the information available and needed.

Black hat thinking examines the difficulties and problems associated
with a topic.

Yellow hat thinking focuses on benefits and values.

Red hat thinking looks at a topic from the point of view of emotions,
feelings and hunches.

Green hat thinking requires imaginative, creative and lateral
thinking about a topic.

Blue hat thinking focuses on reflection, metacognition (thinking
about the thinking that is required), and the need to manage the
thinking process.

==========

Lalitha gari suggestion comprises of Black/Blue Hat while Divya's is
a Red Hat.

(My classification may be true, may be false).

Anyway, let me combine the both.

Adopting an orphanage locally and letting ourselves understand the
problems of administering a home, is good. Practically it is not that
much feasible as well.

Adopting a home is nothing but maintaining it. Only thing would be we
will not implement any ideas but just gives an idea about regular
administration.

In my view, we need to concentrate more on Research rather than
adopting one orphanage. We will be talking to people by visiting
different Orphanages and we will ask them about the problems that
they faced, how they overcame or how they managed etc., We will get
this information from all the Orphanages that we visit and we can
list them all and can understand/analyze them.

We need not make our own mistakes to learn but we can learn from
others mistakes as well. This is not to disrespect the suggestion.
But what I feel is that we need not administer by ourselves to
understand the problems.

Our main focus is on a novel approach in bringing up the Children,
building their Character etc., It is not just about maintaining a
home.

Self-Sustenance :

(Without seed money we will not plunge into the project and the
estimate of seed money would be after our research and based on
different other factors - No. of Children, No. of Employees, Place
where we will set up, facilities and infrastructure etc.,)

We will have a support project, which is a small-scale industry and
which would be our source of income for the Home. We will start the
Small Scale Industry and we will employ people.

Our Project Proposal should be in that direction. It is like setting
up a home with an Industry.

Our emphasis should be on the Research first rather than on adopting
an orphanage.

I think we are in the White Hat phase.

Actual Topic of Discussion is: TMAD coming up with the unique
project, which is a dream to many of its members, a home for the
Children and Aged which is self sufficient and novel.

We are in the White Hat phase of focusing on the information
available and needed.

Am I correct?

with regards,
Prasanthi.
