Friends, A saying goes: The fastest way to make a dream come true is to wake up.
Now that most of us have nurtured this dream and slept enough, now is the time to wake up and start doing things. I suggest a meeting specially to discuss this idea on how best we can implement it. Let us plan as such that our members from all Chapters participate in this meeting through Online Conference. Let us take this meeting seriously. How we should proceed!! I suggest the Six-Hat Method. First we will list out all the categories that we have to discuss and in each category, pros and cons. We request the commitment from our members for two days a month. The ground work for this Project will start from August. Answering Sowmya's questions: 1. Feb 28, 2009 (It is a Saturday) is just a proposal from my end as technically it is our Anniversary Day. Whether we succeed in starting the Project that day is not the question. If at all we have to consider it as a deadline, how should we proceed is what we should discuss. How many Volunteers we require, what is the plan and scope etc., all these details are to be discussed to the T. We need a Program Manager specially for this Project. Whether we actually start this Project on Feb 2009 is another question depends on many constraints. But there is nothing wrong in trying. The statement that I read in the comments of one of the Ryzers made me to think of the approach....... "Doing things is different than making things happen". If we do the things, may be we will do but whether we make our dream come true, is a question. If our purpose is to make things happen, we will. As Divya mentioned, ours is a well-balanced group with a good mix of all possible schools of thought:) 2. When to start, already answered. We will start from August. 3. List of Orphanages. We do have them and we will be getting the latest from Naga Chandrika Devi garu too. Now that we have enough network, getting the list of orphanages is not at all a botherance. 4. Questionnaires. Yes. All of us have many questions. We will put them down on a paper and prepare. In June, we will be completing the educational institutions research and establish a relation. In July, we will discuss about this Project and prepare the list of Orphanages, Questionnaires and divide the categories and assign team members and tasks. We also define a communication mechanism, updating the progress. In August, we will plunge into action for the ground work. Dr. Giri of Dr. Raman Foundation have done enough work with respect to Education and Reforms. He is the best person to guide us with respect to Syllabus and other issues. For our July month's meeting, Prasad Charasala garu, our US member will be present in person. He leaves for US on the same day evening. Arun can come to Hyderabad. Pavan, Ramakrishna garu, Dr. Hemanth and US members will be present online to discuss this Project. We can get a Conference room from any of our friends (Satish Ketineedi garu, Major Kiran and any other friends). Thank you. with regards, Prasanthi.
