But http://localhost/examples/servlet/ doesn't work either. None of the URLs specified by the JkMount statements works from Apache. Neither does /admin, or any of the other default webapps. I just didn't post those parts of mod_jk.conf to save space.

Not so fast. His JkMount command doesn't have anything for /examples/* !. It
might be just that simple.
