Erm... the problem with the *roff files is that they ruin some kinds of layouts. That was the reason why this stuff should've be killed-off by now (e.g. no more *roff manual pages, one of the reasons why we're going to add DocBook support to |libast::getopt()| (since this function can generate manpages via options --man/--nroff form the builtin data)) ... but there was a bug (erm... Michelle or someone else from the docs folks may remeber what this was) which caused the whole idea to be reverted until the bug gets fixed. > Have a look in /usr/share/man/sman*/ and you will find them > surprisingly empty. $ ls -lad /usr/share/man/sman*/* | wc -l 780 ... but it was a _lot_ more in earlier Solaris releases (a result of the bug note above). ---- Bye, Roland -- __ . . __ (o.\ \/ /.o) roland.ma...@nrubsig.org \__\/\/__/ MPEG specialist, C&&JAVA&&Sun&&Unix programmer /O /==\ O\ TEL +49 641 3992797 (;O/ \/ \O;) _______________________________________________ tools-discuss mailing list tools-discuss@opensolaris.org
