ok , this isn't a topband question , but , you guys will have better advice
than anywhere else..
so , I am in a very compromised situation , I live in a double , we have an
elevated wood deck, combined both sides of the deck is 45x22. what i am
thinking is a Hustler 6BTV out at the edge of the deck , the base will be about
15' above ground.
my thoughts , I can only drive in a 4ft ground rod below the antenna and run a
wire down to the rod  , then run a wire around the perimeter of the deck , it
will all be on one side of the antenna , the antenna will be out at the edge
with the counterpoise all on one side of it.
the other issue which will block anything to the north , the double is aluminum
sided , that would be about 25 ft from the antenna. I suppose I could also put
more wire underneath the deck too.
the guy who lives on the other side of the double doesnt care , so that helps...
thoughts?
if you want pictures of the situation, let me know and I can send them so you
have a better idea of my layout etc...
regards
