I was reading your question about the Hustler antenna. Did you think of
running/placing some welded fence material (it comes in two three and four
foot wide rolls) under the deck on both sides and connecting them together,
maybe in a "U" or a square around the double wide. You can solder jumpers
or solder the galvanized fencing material together. Crimping or
mechanically fastening will eventually break down. You can put ground rods
along the exterior perimeter. I did this for a 160 m antenna where there
was all rock. I had 2,500 ft of welded fence material. It worked fantastic
and gave me good E plane radiation lobes and low SWR. I'm sure it's all
asphalt or paving under your decks. This will just be the counterpoise or
the other half of your antenna. Be sure to put some ground rods in around
the exterior perimeter of the screen.

Please QRZ as in my call and you can have a visual of what I'm talking
about.
