That is a good question.
An equally good question is why did so many of the themes I tried with  
THg produce such poor results?
If the default theme was OK, then I would be inclined to think that  
the freebie themes were just incomplete.
Maybe there is something THg is doing that is thematically dubious?  
Since I don't know GTK and I won't be spun-up on in before 0.7, I  
can't answer or volunteer to answer, I can just speculate...
