First of all, as far as I know, their BIGGEST hits were 'Baggy Trousers'
(spent some 20 weeks in the Top 75) and 'Our House' (their ONLY crossover
hit ('It Must Be Love' only got to #33 in the US)). As far as what Colin
said... I hate to disagree with you, Ian, but he's ABSOLUTELY right! Madness
never NEEDED this 'comeback' unless (a) they needed money or (b) they just
wanted to do it. As Carl himself said, it was the latter and, unlike say The
Rolling Stones (who I've always admired), Madness don't need to keep proving
to themselves that they can still do it. And that's all I have to say about
THAT (man, sounds like 'Stone Cold'!!) ~~ Tennessee Paul
(PS> Ian also wrote: "...due to the lack of loyalty from the nutty boys, the
over 30's brigade are now firmly ub40 convergents..." Well, I'm not... and
I'm 34!!)
Don't piss me off - I'm running out of places to hide the bodies!
