I'm 35 so obviously I don't count as a "young" Madness fan but my
four-and-a-half-year-old (he always corrects me on that) knows the words to
all the songs from "Johnny the Horse" through "Drip Fed Fred." Trying to
explain "assassins" and "ladies of the night" was interesting. Also, he
spent about a month reciting the lyrics to "Drip Fed Fred" everywhere we
went which drew some interesting looks here in Texas. I'm slowly
introducing him to older stuff.

No Pete I've been a Madette since I was a twinkle in my Dadda's eye (and I'm
18 to clear up confusion)...I was lucky enough to have them played on the
radio a lot as a tot (ooh! I could write lyrics for Louie Walsh's new boy
band!) and have loved them since them...simple enough but it does go a long
way to explain my state of mind...
