Thank you, yes I have come across that post. Don't think that was the issue with the SD card though. Had removed everything, only left mp3 files on the card, but gave up when that still didn't. Now use the SD card for slideshow photos only. Wanted to test its limit for slideshow and put photos on it which were quite big (2560x1600). Surprising enough it didn't even flinch!
