Update to the above..... With all this "playing with all options and settings on the Touch" I discovered it still would crash! (same symptoms: freeze then reboot after some time) This crash can be initiated by swapping between sources, but at this stage I put it down to my extensive tinkering and it only happened a couple of times. Now the to the other much, much more concerning - issue I found with the Touch is its build in SBS (TinySBS) - especially when changing between USB Flash Drives, USB HDD and SDHC cards. Just been looking through this forum and I found some other people came across similar issues.
After all of this I do have a big gripe about the Squeezebox Touch. I am rather disappointed - how can something like this be released into the market place - a product which clearly is not ready for release, with so many software/firmware issues relating to WiFi and various attached USB devices or SD Cards? What comes to mind is false advertising, exaggerated claims and a product that is not "fit for its purpose". One would expect a new product to work as advertised without having to resort to all of the steps I had to take! Sorry for this gripe statement, but its my 2cents worth.
