Hi everybody,

Im really exited about the squeezebox touch, was gonna buy the Philips
but the touch looks like a much better option, I bought it online and
im expecting to receive it in the upcoming days, I was browsing through
the web and came across this review:
http://www.trustedreviews.com/multimedia/review/2010/05/20/Logitech-Squeezebox-Touch/p1
/ they mention the touch lacks UPNP & DLNA functions? i thought this was
standard with all squeezeboxes, my setup was thought to be, my popcorn
hour A-110 as a server which has upnp functions and where I have 2TB
with all my music connected by Ethernet cable to an N router and to
connect the touch wirelessly to the router, the touch would pick up my
music and use my ipod touch as a controller with ipeng, now having read
the review I don't think this is gonna work, any thoughts on this? is
upnp and dlna a hardware thing or can it be implemented by a firmware
update we could hopefully get in a future? the idea of having a
computer on is not appealing and i have all my multimedia in my popcorn
which i thought and hope the touch will pick up on, if not in the review
they mention some specific NAS that support the touch which i'll have to
buy to stream from, what is everyone doing, the idead of having a sd
card is appealing for small libraries 32gb max, and having a harddrive
plugged at all times for large libraries dont quite know how that would
work, i keep my popcorn on at all time, and when not in use the popcorn
puts the hdd to sleep, would the touch do this with an external hdd to
avoid having the hdd spinning 24/7? a lot of questions i hope some one
is savvy enough to suggest something or help out, thanks!!!

Regards,

Angel
