I recently setup a system with TOUCH attached to USB harddrive (with its own power) containing about 54,000 mp3/aac files. Running tinySC and works smoothly. Edit: and the Touch is connected via WIFI for purposes of streaming internet radio, pandora, etc. with about a 65% wifi signal.
