I'm DEFINITELY trying to connect to the correct wireless network :) No amount of spinning the router around is making any difference. As I said in my original post; I placed the SBT within 3 feet from the wireless router (no obstacles inbetween).
I'm not really going to use the internet through it. But that's not the point. I need to prove whether this is a faulty product. I guess what I could do is take it to a friend's and see if it connects via their wireless easily and monitor the signal strength. Is there possibility of a connection issue? I need to get the username/password from my flatmate to check the settings. I know I had problems connecting my netbook using linux. Once I'd installed Windows 7 there were no problems connecting! This is where I get stuck though. I really don't have any knowledge in setting up static ip's or such. I read posts on forums but it's jargon to me. I think I'll start by taking it to a friend's place and see what happens with connecting there first before reporting back here. Thanks all for replying.
