I did the listed configuration mods including turning off the analog outs. Major difference? No, but there is a small one (at least in my system). Just a bit more clarity in what seems like sounds that are set further back in the soundstage. Maybe that translates into improved calrity throughout? I don't know. Haven't listened enough. My wife noticed it as well when I asked her (with no preconditioning) to listen to a couple of her favorite tunes and then tell me if there was any difference.
