No it doesn't a far as I (and many others) are concerned.
You cannot apply the RCS.local mod if running wi-fi - you would have to
edit the file to skip that aspect of the mod. You can still apply he
asound.conf mod if you are only using an external DAC. I didn't find
that made any difference either, but you should try it for yourself.

Of course, first you need to undo the mod, for which you will need to
connect via an ethernet cable temporarily...
