Just want to make sure I understand how this Touch thing works and I thought "New Guy Questions" was appropriate as opposed to starting a new thread.
I have a synology NAS and I am able to install squeezecenter server 7.5 so it runs like a service on the NAS. I would next connect the Touch via ethernet or wireless to my network and it would pick up an IP address from my router. The touch would recognize the squeezecenter software running on the network and dislay all my songs and artwork (in theory) and I could use the Touch screen to navigate my folders, artists, songs, etc. and play them from the Touch screen. I have quite a few 96kHz/24bit music files and the Touch would pull those off my NAS and either DAC them or pass the 96kHz file to my Cambridge Audio DACMagic depending on how I want to do it with no type of conversion caused by a computer because I'm streaming straight from the NAS and no computer OS in involved. Next I would want to use a remote, probably an ipod touch. The ipod touch would connect wirelessy to my network and after installing iPeng (I think that's what its called) the ipod touch would basically work like the SB Touch. I would see everything on the ipod touch screen as if I were looking at the SB touch screen. Am I correct on the way this would work or am I missing something. -- edmondwolfman ------------------------------------------------------------------------ edmondwolfman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40367 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=81789 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
