A couple of thoughts: 1) The scan will go faster if the music files and your SBS installation are on 2 physically seperate disks 2) Some AV software might slow down the scan 3) Tell Windows to give priority to Background Services via the Control Panel - System - Performance - Advanced 4) make sure you have a pagefile twice as large as the amount of physical RAM on the machine.
