Native range won't change unless needed so never upsampling but no
downsampling unless it's needed for the player.

I have heard that it suposed to play alac, would not be surprised if is
16/44.1 alac only for native playback .

There is no need to mess around with the file types menu at all the
default settings works best for most servers (it's there for adapting
to the servers capabilities, not for tweaking sound quality)

Lossles is still lossles so nothing would happen to the soundquality
