I had the same problem before I started save artwork on the NAS, so I don't think that's the problem. I just tried to remove many of the plugins. No change. esa: 2 hours ago I tried to only have my albums with Madonna, George Michael and Sade on the server, and moved all other music to another partition. Scanned the libary, restarted the NAS. Stepping around the libary is now faster, but same problem with the playback. toby10: Yes. My NAS is wired to the router. I have not tried the solution you suggest, but I have decided to use my "rights of return", before the deadline. Just setup the Squeezebox Classic (V3) again and everything is fast unproblematic.
