I don't explain them, I just enjoy them.

Never? I've just recently tried a pair of Belkin Pure AV interconnects,
which could easily be measured as introducing a substantial change into
my audio chain (they are just so different in design philosophy and
build than my old interconnects). And while many people have reported
hearing amazing differences and improvements, I, for the life of me,
cannot hear even the slightest difference. Swapping back and forth, and
even trying some other interconnects I've borrowed from friends (some of
which are even ten times more expensive than the original
interconnects), the differences were completely lost on me. Everything
basically continued sounding absolutely the same to me.

So the difference in measuring does not always translate into perceived
differences.

Same thing happened to me many times over with different components.
Even when it comes to various power amps, some bargain priced, others
super expensive, I often times couldn't hear even the slightest
difference in sound.

However, every now and then, I introduce a change into my audio system
and then I get blown away by the unbelievable improvements. Such as
with this Soundcheck mods case.
