OK let's specify again... I have a very high-end stereo system in the other room, adjacent to the living room. The Quad speakers are in the living room. That is why I want to be able to playback my Hi-Res downloaded tracks from my PC equiped with a high-end soundcard, connected directly to my high-end Benchmark DAC1 and the McIntosh amplifier.
