In that thread I posted, Phil Leigh did note a great improvement in replacing a power supply for his TACT. But sorry, Rick, I can't be much help. I'm in the ABX, blind testing camp for detecting differences. I know from my own work of 30+ years that self insight is not nearly as good as people might like to believe and "demand" effects in experiments are strong. My only advice is to plug in your touch, attach it to a favorite DAC should you have one, and enjoy the music. If you have lots of extra $$$ to spend, start with speakers. At some point the discussion (which I enjoy, even the posters I very much disagree with) becomes "how many angels can dance on the head of a pin". A quote I recently saw fits the back and forth controversy on all this stuff very well: That people so often believe themselves to be right is no proof that they are.
