Thanks, Phil. Interesting that it could be related to the simple change of cables...that's probably the last of the three changes I'd have thought responsible (too simple, heheh). My reasoning for changing the cables was thinking that those cables are essentially the main artery for the sound traveling between dac and amp, so why trust that to cheap cables...the LC-1's were only about $30, so it wasn't a life-altering investment and seemed worth it if only for peace of mind. I hadn't really expected that anything would change as a result.
