It should be 75 ohm coaxial cables aka video cable aka catv cable or similar you can cet cheap and good ones from bluejean cable or marcus cable (belden with canare conectors) , but it is an undemanding task so it can work with a straightened out coat-hanger to on short distances ;)
But for minimum of jitter and disturbances get a well shielded coax cable . spdif should really use bnc , but all mfg has cheaped out and use rca probably due to the very small practical difference compared to video who has a much higher bandwidth in the same kind of cable... No point in getting those 10000$ unobtanium wires it wont do any good. Such vintage stuff migth not have the best jitter rejektion so it is possible that you get a small improvement with a suitable cable,( the audio rca migth have the wrong impedance ) Btw what sound best ? remember to level out the difference in volume before comparing. Note that Touchs volume works in the digital (24bit) domain so keep volume at 100% when using digital outs btw. It migth yeild unexpected results with such an old DAC that is not 24bit, so have volume at 100% on the Touch . -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
