Another speed/reliability tip for the Touch's USB performance is to have the Touch's SBS server ignore any/all non music files. You can do this in one of two ways: 1. Do use a dual partition, music on P1, all others files on P2. Touch will only see P1. 2. Rename the top level folder(s) containing the non music files, placing a dot before that folder name. So if all of your movies are in a folder named Movies just make it ".Movies", SBS will ignore folders with such dots.
I'd suggest #2 as this does not require reformatting and Touch can get squirrely with multiple partitions. I'd also make sure you have at least 10% free space on that USB HD at minimum. -- toby10 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88973 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
