Prior versions of SBS are available. Why not just uninstall what you have and go back to what worked for you? Stay away from newer and especially beta versions unless they contain solutions to problems you face. You know the saying, "If it ain't broke, ....." Personally, I've been using an early-ish version of 7.5 since I got a Touch. Everything works well and is stable.
