It does not scan recursively, that i know otherwise it would take a very long time to browse. however if already scanned you can play things recursively I think ? But standalone Touch is limited to 100 tracks playlists anyway. You should use a folder structure like artist/album/track , thats common sense. Having all files in flat structure makes it slow for the OS to browse folders, it takes time to open a folder with a lot of files in it, and SBS will scan them all. a better folder structure improves scanning too, esp cover art confusion. This simple patch may help many that uses Touch standalone :) Scanner usually crashes on one particular file you are less likely to encounter that file by chance when browsing. Touch is underpowered for the task of running sbs, so it can be overvelmed by scan task and run out of memory and crash (how the &#%^* can anyone design such a device with only 128mB of ram ). So feeding it files one album at the time can help this poor thing, especially with a large library. -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
