IMHO, developping a home made Logitech server is a dead end.
Even if they had resources to develop a good one (and I guess they do
not have), it is inventing again the wheel.

I could understand Logitech management decided to develop LMS in order
to have at least one server more or less reliable.
But I really cannot understand why their biggest priority was not to
make their hardware devices good clients.

I wonder if they ever tried devices like Western Digital TV live, or
similar products.
May be it doesn't have all hype features for geeks, but you can use
them easily and reliably without being bothered with unreliable scan
and database running.

I cannot understand why Logitech management never figured out that
their number one priority should be to make simple things possible and
reliable.

TinySBS is an astonishing example.
