My personal and highly subjective opinion: If you appreciate the subtle almost-sciencey magic of monocrystal $2000 power cords with vacuums, teflon tape and kevlar socks for improved acoustic dampening, etc., you might want to keep trying. If you're on the sane side on the audiophile spectrum, however, my answer is yeah, forget it, spend the time on listening to music instead. :)
