I use a pair of Fostex PM0.4 on my office PC and they're pretty cool. I
do recording on it so they need to be fairly flat. Not really
punchy/deep enough to be fun on my kind of music, though.

Sticking with Logitech (yay!), this will seem a strange suggestion but
the (now discontinued) Z-2300 2.1 system is actually really cool once
you ditch the included speakers. The sub itself is a competent design
for its size , deep and punchy and generously ported, and the best part
is that it includes a 40w (optimistically rated surely) stereo class A/B
amp for powering satellites. When I started to play with the sub module
I'd assumed there might be some non-defeatable EQ for the sats but
that's not the case and paired with nice, small monitors like NHT
SuperZeros it makes for a very nice pairing with the Touch (listening to
MOG over it now) and far bigger-sounding than "desktop" speakers on
their own.

I bought my Z-2300 on closeout years ago for $90 but I've since picked
up a couple of the sub modules by themselves on ebay for about $50. It's
not exactly plug 'n play as you need to splice RCA connectors onto
speaker wire for connecting to the amp and you need an aftermarket
adapter for source connection since the sub uses a proprietary D-sub
connector and control module that comes with the complete system. You
can find those on ebay as well - I use one that gets rid of all the
extra circuitry and volume controls but has a level control for the sub.
