Hi All, First time poster here. I am having trouble getting my Touch to connect to a Micromega Mydac via USB using Triodes's EDO app. When I download the app, I get the message "Kernal Update Failed" but I'm able to go into the Audio Settings and select the Mydac in the Digital Output. It is actually listed as "USB-Audio - MICROMEGA MYDAC". When I select the Mydac, I get "Asynchronous USB 1 dacs may not work correctly without an external USB High Speed hub between the Squeezebox and the dac. Some dacs support a workaround for 44/48Hz playback without a hub. Change @ Settings>Advanced>Digital Output" then two choices:
- Use with 44/48Hz no-hub workaround - Use without workaround - I will add a hub Whichever one I choose, the Touch automatically reboots and then freezes with a system error ( Sorry, your device had to restart due to a system error. Is it ok if we collect diagnostic information on the issue to help us fix it - then two choices: send or not send. But the Touch is locked and I can't get to Home or anywhere else. If I leave it there, it just continually reboots and comes back with the same system error message. My only option is to go back and reset to factory settings to get out of it. I've tried pushing the software upgrade, trying ethernet rather than wireless but nothing works. BTW- I've done this about ten times today. The other problem is that the Touch only "sees" the Mydac if it is set to USB 1.0 and will not recognize the DAC set to USB 2.0 (there is a small toggle switch on the back that allows either connection). Do I really just need a high speed USB hub? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tom2441's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59502 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94512 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
