Sorry for the delay. I'm running every wireless. Music library is on my laptop mostly Apple lossless. Had same on my previous Dell laptop - which I still have a works fine when I use that for LMS.
I've talked with HP support. All they could think of is upgrading my wireless adaptor driver which I did. It seems like something is interfering with file transfer and I'm intrigued by your suggestion to change port. What other ports can I use? Looks like I have to manually enter or I'd choose another if they were shown. PS I remember another port number coming up when I fist set up LMS - something like 3968 but I really don't remember the number. But it said something like make sure it's open.
