I had exactly the same problem when I upgraded my PC from an old XP machine to a spanking new Windows 7 one (both Dell desktops). Still can't explain it to this day, but it simply would not work as well as the old one over wireless - constant rebuffering. I tried everything, but eventually conceded defeat and got a pair of Homeplugs, which fixed the problem at a stroke.
